The Purpose of the Articles

These articles cover a variety of subjects. Their pupose is to teach, instruct, enlighten, encourage, and convict believers and non-believers alike. My goal is to communicate, in love and truth, what the "still, small voice" of the Holy Spirit is speaking today. I am unashamedly conservative in my beliefs. I believe the Bible is the inspiried Word of God and is as revelant today as when it was first written.

I believe the Church is in some cases guilty of "paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons" (1 Timothy 4:1) instead of paying attention to the Holy Spirit. The result is a Church that is losing the holiness which the Father requires of her and is instead being polluted by flagrant sin.

The cost can be high for speaking the truth. God told the prophet, Jeremiah, "The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule on their own authority; and My people love it so (Jeremiah 5:31)! So much did the people love the words of the false prophets and the human rule of the priests that they banned Jeremiah from entering into the Temple to teach and speak the truth God had given him (Jeremiah 36:5). Nevertheless, he remained faithful to the Lord's calling upon his life which is given in Jeremiah 1:5: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations."

I do not claim to be a prophet. I do claim to be a child of God, saved by grace through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. As such I believe as we submit to the Lordship of Jesus in our lives He will guide and teach us the truth for the purpose of making us holy as He is holy (1 Peter 1:16). Jesus Himself said, "When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you" (John 16:13-15 ESV). These articles are an attempt to share with you what I believe has been declared to me.

May you be blessed as you read these articles. May they bring life to you as they have to me as the Holy Spirit breathes upon our spirits.

Blessings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
